2023 Plants & Flowers

RULES
- All flowers in section 1-28 must be grown by exhibitor.
- Arrangements, not necessary to be grown by exhibitor.
- All plants must be at least 3 months old, one plant per pot unless otherwise specified.
- Exhibitors to supply own container.
- Count blooms carefully, no more, no less. Buds showing colour count as blooms.
- Let’s see plants larger than the pots.
- Be a neat and tidy exhibitor.
- Cut flowers must be shown with own foliage.
- Height of arrangement should be at least 1 ½ times the size of the container .
- No artificial flowers or plants, and no luster spray to be used.
- Tag to be placed at front of arrangement.
- New exhibitor or anyone who did not show in 2019 or 2022, mark tag “New Exhibitor”on the front.
- All other rules of Homecraft Division apply.

- Container not to exceed 12” top (does not apply to arrangements).

- Sansevieria (Snake Plant), max 10” diameter pot
- Strawflower – any colour, max 10” diameter pot
- Coleus – max 10” diameter pot
- African Violet in container
- Cactus or Succulent – max 6” diameter pot
- Any foliage houseplant, max 6” diameter pot
- Potted Herb garden – 4 varieties
- Forced branch in leaf – max 24”, in suitable container
- Terrarium, not to exceed 12” in height or width

- “Garden Feast”, arrangement of flowers and accessories using a vegetable or fruit as a container
- “Mini Magic”, miniature arrangement, not to exceed 5 “ in any direction. Prize: donated by the Cooper family in memory of Deborah Cooper.
- “September Song”, arrangement from the last of your flower garden, not to exceed 12” high or wide
- “Thanksgiving Table”, centerpiece including candle(s), maximum 14” length
- “Gone to Seed”, special design including seed pods, grasses etc, using fresh or dried material
- “Rise & Shine”, arrangement in a coffee mug
- “Canadian Autumn”, design reflecting fall colours
