2026 Bottled Goods

Rules

1. All entries must be attached to the jars (not to the lids), elastic bands preferred.
2. Entries may be shown in an appropriate sized jar, but there are no size restrictions.
3. Omit using paraffin or saran. Please use new lids.
4. All entries will be disqualified unless properly sealed.
5. New exhibitor or anyone who did not show in Class 28 in 2024 or 2025, mark tag “NEW EXHIBITOR” on the front.
6. All entries must be labeled with product name and date of preparation.
7. All entries must have been prepared within one year of judging date.
8. All other rules of Homecraft Division apply.

Section: Specials

18. Gift Basket – Must contain a collection of jam, relish, salsa or jelly, along with appropriate gifts (crackers, biscuit mix, tea etc.) Not to exceed $20 value. Prize: Rosette ribbon and $20. Prize donated by Ron Lisk Culverts.
19. Best of Show Award – selected from all regular categories. 1st prize $30 plus rosette prize ribbon. Donated by the Beeton & District Agricultural Society.
20. Jam/Jelly Award – selected from all jam/jelly categories. 1st prize $20 plus rosette prize ribbon.
21. New Exhibitor (anyone who did not show in class 28 in 2024 or 2025) with most points. Prize donated by Alison Preiss.
22. Exhibitor with most points in class 28. Prize: $15. Donated by the Beeton & District Agricultural Society.

Section: Maple Syrup

Rules: Maple Syrup is to be in a small mason jar (1 pint or less), properly tagged. Please include variety of source where possible. Exhibitor is responsible for putting maple syrup in proper category.

Section: Honey

Rules: All Honey is to be in a small mason jar (1 pint or less), properly tagged. Please include variety of source where possible. Exhibitor is responsible for putting honey in proper category.

Section: Eggs

Rules: In Egg Class, judge will open 1 egg. All eggs must be clean, without obvious blemishes or cracks. Exhibitor may not enter more than one type of the same variety and colour.
