2026 Culinary Arts

Rules
- Absolutely no mixes or canned fillings.
- Cakes: remove from pans; on sturdy cardboard 1″ larger than the base of cake (unless otherwise specified); iced with any suitable homemade icing – no store bought.
- Pie plates no larger than 9″, may be smaller.
- All muffins must have paper cups removed. Tea biscuits, buns, rolls, tarts, cookies, squares and candies MUST be on a sturdy paper plate and placed in a clear plastic food storage bag. No plastic wrap or tin foil.
- Quick bread, approx. 4″x8″, MUST be on a sturdy cardboard and placed in a clear plastic food storage bag.
- Attach tag to plate, not plastic bag.
- New exhibitor or anyone who did not show in the Culinary Arts Section in 2024 or 2025, mark tag “NEW EXHIBITOR” on the front.
- All other rules of Homecraft Division apply.
Section: Bread, Muffins and Tarts
Prizes for section 1–18: 1st: $5 | 2nd: $4 | 3rd: $3
- Muffins, plain banana, 4 on plate
- Muffins, carrot, 4 on plate
- Whole grain bran muffins, 4 on plate

Section: Quick Bread
- Lemon loaf, ½ loaf, un-iced

Section: Pies, Cookies and Squares
- Triple chocolate chip cookies, 5 on plate
- Oatmeal cookies, 5 on plate
- No bake cookies, 5 on plate
- Chocolate iced brownies, 5 on plate
- Date squares, 5 on plate
- Lemon squares, 5 on plate
- Any type of fudge, 5 on plate
- Gingersnaps, 5 on plate

Section: Culinary Specials

- Favourite Recipe Baking Contest – Apple pie, double crust. Prize: 1st: $25 | 2nd: $10. Donated by the Beeton & District Agricultural Society.
- Corn starch shortbread cookies, 5 on a plate. Prize: Butter prize. Donated by Alliston Creamery.
- Coffee cake, no larger than 8″ round or 8″x8″ square. Prize: $10. Donated by the Beeton & District Agricultural Society.
- Decorated cup cakes, 4 on a plate. Prize: $10. Donated by the Beeton & District Agricultural Society.
- Best pumpkin cake, no larger than 8″x8″ square or 8″ round. Prize: $15. Donated by the Beeton & District Agricultural Society.
- Best Lunchbox Snack contest. Best family homemade cookies, squares or bars. Prize: $25. Donated by the Beeton & District Agricultural Society.
- Exhibitor with most points in class 27, sections 1–21. Prize: $10. Donated by the Beeton & District Agricultural Society.
Section: Seniors Baking
For men and women over the age of 65
