Battle of the Bands Series Launches This Summer
A brand-new sound is coming to town—New Tec Roxx is hitting the stage for the first time in 2025, and the call is out for local bands ready to rock! This exciting new Battle of the Bands series will spotlight emerging musical talent across the region, giving groups the chance to compete, connect with fans, and win cash prizes—all while making their mark on a brand-new community tradition.
The first qualifying battle kicks off July 1, and only five bands will be selected for this launch event. The winner will move on to the New Tec Roxx Finals at the Beeton Fair on September 13, where the stakes—and the crowds—get even bigger.
But that’s just the beginning.
A second qualifying battle will take place at the Alliston Potato Festival on Sunday, August 10, with four to five more bands competing for a coveted spot in the finals. A third qualifying battle is also in the works, with details to be announced soon.
Each event is a standalone competition, meaning bands must register for each individual battle they wish to compete in. Winners from each event will earn their place in the final showdown at Beeton Fair—and the chance to walk away with cash, recognition, and hometown rock star status.
All music styles are welcome, and the judging will focus on originality, energy, musicianship, and crowd engagement. Whether you’re just starting out or already have a following, New Tec Roxx is your chance to shine on a big stage in front of an enthusiastic local audience.
