New for 2025, the Beeton Fall Fair introduces a dedicated Sensory Room – a calm, supportive environment where visitors can take a break from the excitement and activity of the fairgrounds.
What is the Sensory Room?
The Sensory Room provides a peaceful retreat designed for visitors who may experience sensory sensitivities, autism, anxiety, or need a quiet moment to recharge. This dedicated space ensures everyone can enjoy the fair at their own pace.
Room Features
Calming Environment:
- Soft, adjustable lighting
- Comfortable seating areas
- Reduced noise levels
- Simple, engaging activities
Supportive Atmosphere:
- Volunteer staff available to assist
- Safe, welcoming space for all ages
- No time limits – stay as long as needed
Location & Hours
Location: South end of Beeton Hall, off Prospect Street Hours: Available throughout the fair weekend
- Friday, September 12: 5:00 PM – Midnight
- Saturday, September 13: 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM
- Sunday, September 14: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Who Can Use the Sensory Room?
- Children and adults with autism or sensory processing differences
- Visitors experiencing anxiety or overstimulation
- Families needing a quiet break
- Anyone who would benefit from a calm environment
- Caregivers and support persons
Additional Accessibility Support
The Beeton Fall Fair is committed to inclusion and also proudly accepts the Access 2 Card at the gate, providing free admission for support persons accompanying individuals with disabilities.
How It Helps
Taking a break in the Sensory Room allows visitors to:
- Reduce overstimulation from crowds, lights, and sounds
- Regroup and prepare to enjoy more fair activities
- Have a positive fair experience without feeling overwhelmed
- Feel welcomed and included in the community celebration
Finding the Sensory Room
The Sensory Room is clearly marked and easily accessible at the south end of Rotary/Kate Aitken Agricultural Hall. Look for directional signage throughout the fairgrounds, or ask any fair volunteer for assistance.
