Culinary Arts - CLASS XXVII

Please read rules carefully and adhere to, or be disqualified by the judge.
Rules
1. Absolutely no mixes, or canned fillings.
2. Cakes: remove from pans; on sturdy cardboard 1” larger than base of cake; iced with any suitable icing, no frostings.
3. Pie plates no larger than 9”, may be smaller.
4. All muffins (must have paper cups removed), tea biscuits, buns, rolls, tarts, cookies, squares and candies MUST be on a sturdy paper plate and placed in a clear plastic food storage bag. No plastic wrap.
5. Quick bread, approx. 4”x8”, MUST be on a sturdy cardboard and placed in clear plastic food
storage bag.
6. Attach tag to plate not plastic wrap.
7. New Exhibitor or anyone who did not show in the Culinary Arts Section in 2006 or 2007 mark tag “New Exhibitor” on the front.
8. All other rules of Homecraft Division apply.
BREAD, MUFFINS AND TARTS
Prizes for section 1 - 23: 1st - $3.00; 2nd - $2.50; 3rd - $2.00
1. Bread, 60% whole wheat, entire crust.

F Shortbread cookies, 5 on a plate. Prizes: 1st - 3 lb butter; 2nd-2 lb butter; donated by ALLISTON CREAMERY, ALLISTON.
G Chocolate cake, iced, no larger than 8” round or 8” x 8”. Must be Oetker Original Vanilla Sugar or Oetker Baking Powder in recipe. Proof of purchase for one of these products is required to qualify. Prizes: 1st - $12.00 plus gift prize; 2nd - $8.00 plus gift prize; donated by OETKER.
H Best home-made tarts, any variety, 4 on a plate, must be accompanied by Crisco proof of purchase. Prizes: 1st - $20.00 plus gift prize; 2nd - $10.00 plus gift prize; donated by CRISCO BEST FAMILY FAVOURITE RECIPE BAKING CONTEST.
