LIVESTOCK SHOW RULES

1. Livestock must be on the grounds by 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2008 and may leave the show at the conclusion of the Grand Champion Livestock Showman Class.
2. All animals exhibited with the exception of the Grand Champion Livestock Showman Class must be the 4-H project of the exhibitor.
3. Dairy Animal Age Groups:
Junior Yearling - March 1/07 - May 31/07
Summer Yearling - June 1/07 - August 31/07
Senior Heifer - September 1/07 - November 30/07
Intermediate Heifer - December 1/07 - February 28/08
Junior Heifer - March 1/08 and younger
4. Beef Animal Age Groups:
Senior Heifer - January 1/07- December 31/07
Junior Heifer - January 1/08- May 31/08
Steer - Select to reach market weight at your Achievement Day
5. Dairy Showmanship Age Groups:
Junior Showmanship - 10-12 years old as of January 1, 2008 Intermediate Showmanship
- 13 -15 years old as of January 1, 2008
Senior Showmanship - 16-21 years old as of January 1, 2008.
6. The 4-H leader(s) and livestock Director reserve the right to change the classes depending on the number of entries.
7. The Beeton & District Agricultural Society does not accept any responsibility for any injury to any livestock when at the show.
8. Coloured Breed Dairy Calves will be shown with the Holsteins.

Specials:

A. There will be a special Class of Dairy Heifer (all breeds) born March 1, 2006 or later. Shown by boys and girls born in 1996 or later. All entries will receive a ribbon and a prize donated by CANADIAN IMPERIAL BANK OF COMMERCE, Bradford.
B Ernie Severn Memorial Trophy (perpetual): This trophy is awarded to the Champion Livestock Showperson with the top two 4- Hers from their respective 4-H shows competing to see who is the overall champion.
C Earl Woodrow Trophy: This trophy is awarded to the Champion Dairy Showperson from the Bradford/Beeton area.
