JUNIOR CLASS - CLASS XXXII

Please read rules carefully and adhere to, or be disqualified by the judge.

Rules:

1. Open to Exhibitors 8-16 years of age (with the exception of Special E). Exhibitor form must be submitted. Please put age on entry tag.
2. All needlework must include a swatch of fabric, yarn or floss used in the entry.
3. All baking MUST be exhibited on paper plates and in clear plastic food storage bags.
4. New Exhibitor or anyone who did not show in “Junior Class” in 2006 or 2007, mark tag “New Exhibitor” on the front.
5. All other rules of Homecraft Division apply.

BAKING

Prizes for sections 1-20: 1st - $4.00; 2nd - $3.00; 3rd - $2.00
1. Banana bread, 1/2 loaf on sturdy cardboard
2. Chocolate chip cookies, 5, no larger than 2 1/2”
3. Peanut butter cookies, 5, no larger than 2 1/2”
4. Chocolate brownies, 5, uniced-no nuts 2” squares
5. Cup cakes, decorated, 5
6. Unbaked squares, balls or cookies, 5
7. Chocolate fudge, 5, no nuts, 1” squares
8. Your favourite muffin, 5

MISCELLANEOUS

12. Bead necklace, handmade, with clasp, mounted for display
13. Friendship bracelet
14. Stuffed toy, (doll, animal etc.)

19. Recycled project made from old jeans
20. Hobby craft from a kit (your choice)

SPECIAL

A Decorated Birthday Cake. Prize: $10.00, donated by LORI (LISK) COOK, SANDHILL.
B Original Rice Krispie Squares, 5 on a paper plate. Cover in plastic. Prize: 1st; $10.00, 2nd; $6.00; 3rd; $4.00, donated by BEETON AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.
C Fresh Flower Arrangement in a coffee mug. Prize: $10.00
D Decorate a toothbrush. Prize donated by QUEEN STREET DENTAL, TOTTENHAM.
E Best Homemade Bread Youth Contest. Must be under age 16. Prize: $10.00, donated by FLEISHMANN’S YEAST “Youth Best Bread Contest”. Entry must be accompanied by Fleishmann’s yeast packet.
F Best Lunch Box Snack (homemade squares or bars). Prize: donated by ROBIN HOOD “Beginners Best Lunch Box Snack Contest”. Entry must be accompanied by Robin Hood Flour label.
G Best of Class (section 10-20). Prizes: donated by BEETON AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.
H Exhibitor with most points in Class XXXII. Prize: donated by BEETON AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.
I New Exhibitor (anyone who did not show in this class in 2006 or 2007 ) with most points. Mark “New Exhibitor” on tag. Prize: donated by Canada Post, Beeton.
