ART - CLASS XXXVI

Rules:

1. ADULT: open to all age groups. Non-commercial artists only.
2. STUDENT CLASSES defined as follows:
SENIOR STUDENT: Grade 9 or up to 18 years of age
INTERMEDIATE STUDENT: Grade 5 up to grade 8
JUNIOR STUDENT: Grade 1 up to grade 4
3. Student exhibitors must mark age & grade on FRONT of entry tag where it is visible to the judge. All work submitted in this category must be tagged with a yellow tag. Blue school tag entries are not accepted in this category. Work must be done on an individual basis.
4. All ARTWORK must be ready to hang SECURELY. Artwork does not have to be framed.
5. Outside frame measurements not to exceed 30” in any direction.
6. An original work of art is a work that is not copied from another artist’s work or photographs.
7. New Exhibitor or anyone who did not show in Class XXXVI in 2006 or 2007 mark tag “New Exhibitor” on the front.
8. All other rules of Homecraft Division apply.

ADULT

Prizes: 1st - $5.00; 2nd - $4.00; 3rd - $3.00
1. Pastel, charcoal, conte, pen or pencil sketch, any subject, original or non-original if picture is included
2. Pen and ink, ball-point, felt tip, technical pen or india ink and pen nib, any subject, original or non-original if picture is included
3. Water-soluble, any subject, original or non- original if picture is included
4. Oil or acrylic painting, any subject, original or non-original if picture is included
5. Portrait, man or animal, any medium, original or non-original if picture is included
6. Building or buildings, any medium, original or non-original
7. Land/Seascape, any medium, original or non-original
8. Abstract, any medium
9. Mixed-media, must use at least 2 mediums, any subject original
10. Computer generated, any subject, - no hand drawn elements.

ADULT SPECIALS

A New Exhibitor (anyone who did not show in Art Section in 2006 or 2007 ) with most points. Prize: $25.00.
B Exhibitor with most pointes Section 1-10. Prize: donated by Mary Artymko, Beeton.

B Paint from your memory or imagination. Any medium my be used. May be original or a non-original if the
photo used is provided.
Prize: $25.00.

SENIOR STUDENT

Prizes: 1st - $3.00; 2nd - $2.50; 3rd - $2.00
11. Computer generated, must be done completely on a computer, original, any subject
12. Water-soluble, any subject, original or non- original if picture is included
13. Oil or acrylic, any subject, original or non- original if picture is included
14. Man or animal, any medium, original or non-original if picture is included
15. Pencil, charcoal, pastel or conte, any subject, original or non-original if picture is included

Senior Student SPECIALS

C Exhibitor with most points, Section 11-15. Prize: $15.00

INTERMEDIATE STUDENT

Prizes: 1st - $3.00; 2nd - $2.50; 3rd - $2.00
16. Mixed media,must include at least 2 mediums,(may include computor-generated work for 1 of the mediums), any subject, must be original, hangable
17. Pencil or pen drawing, any subject, original or non-original if picture is included
18. Abstract, any media, original or non-original with a copy of original included
19. Man or animal, any medium, original or non-original if picture is included

INTERMEDIATE STUDENT SPECIALS

E Exhibitor with most points, Section 16 - 19. Prize: $25.00

JUNIOR STUDENT

Prizes: Section 20-22 1st - $3.00; 2nd - $2.50; 3rd - $2.00
20. Drawing, pencil, coloured pencils, felt pens or crayons, any subject.
21. Green, must be original and hangable
22. Painting, any subject, any medium, original or non-original.

JUNIOR STUDENT SPECIALS
