4-H HERDSMAN COMPETITION

All livestock clubs participating in Beeton 4-H Junior Fair are eligible to enter this competition. Space will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
The following score card is used when judging the Herdsman Competition:
General Appearance 40 points
club sign - individual calf signs
4-H members interest and knowledge 20 points
Organization of exhibit space and equipment 20 points
Neatness of straw bed manure handling
Team effort 20 points
work should be done as a team effort of the club
4-H INTER-CLUB EXHIBITS
(Indoor Display- non competitive)
All worthy entries receive $20.00.
Eligibility Criteria for 4-H inter club exhibits
1. Open to all Simcoe County 4-H Clubs completing a project in the previous 12 months. One exhibit is eligible per club.
2. Each exhibit must include a backdrop.
3. Each exhibit will be allowed 4 feet of table space.
4. At least 3 exhibits must be placed in order to form a class.
5. Exhibits are expected to be placed by club
members. They must be placed between
7:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2008 and between 8:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2008. No late entries will be accepted. Exhibits must be removed at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2008. After this time the Beeton & District Agricultural Society will not be responsible for exhibits.
6. Space available will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
